Cora Jo puts on a great show……..don’tcha know?
Storyteller Cora Jo Ciampi, from the Great North Woods of NH, will have you grinning from ear-to-ear with some light-hearted tales at the Corner House Inn’s Storytelling Dinner program on Thursday evening, April 1st. Storytelling for Cora comes as natural as mud puddles and kids. Having moved from Montana many years ago, Cora has been spinning yarns professionally for over 25 years throughout the West and New England. About the art of storytelling she says “Storytelling is a way for me to talk to you…the real me and the real you…without causing too much sweat either way”.
Ms. Ciampi writes much of her own amusing material, but tells traditional stories as well. An audience favorite, she has appeared at the Corner House on numerous occasions over the past 20 years, often in tandem with her sister, Lauretta Phillips, a renowned storyteller in her own right. Together they tell some wild tales!
The Storytelling Dinners are held every Thursday evening at the Corner House Inn from late October through May. The Storytelling Dinner begins at 6:30 pm and the price is $19.95 per person, plus tax & gratuity. For more information and reservations contact the Corner House in Center Sandwich at 284-6219 or online at info@cornerhouseinn.com .

Two extraordinary storytellers will combine their talents at the Corner House Inn’s Storytelling Dinner program on Thursday, April 8th. Internationally acclaimed storyteller Rona Leventhal from Ashfield, MA and popular White Mountain storyteller Andy Davis from Albany, NH join forces to create a dynamic storytelling evening.
Rona Leventhal has been a professional storyteller since 1990. A specialist of Improv Theatre and Movement, she is an exuberant artist who has gained repute as a cornucopia of voices, characters, and cultural accents as she weaves folktales from around the world. As an ultimate tribute to her storytelling talents, Rona was recently chosen by The National Storytelling Network to represent the New England region in the All Regions Concert at the NSN national conference in Los Angeles in July 2010!
Andy Davis has entertained audiences from Paris to Bamako to San Diego with a varied repertoire of tales containing equal parts magical realism, personal experience and multicultural folklore. “Andy’s stories are unique, witty, and totally captivating,” said Michael Parent, the 1999 recipient of the National Storytelling Network’s Circle of Excellence Award. “His material is personal and, thank goodness, never self-conscious. He combines a warm, easy manner with a commanding, straightforward delivery. He is a storyteller with brains and heart.” Andy is a member of the Mountain Storytellers Guild, the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling (LANES) and the National Storytelling Network.
